Job description/overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organisation in achieving its mission. Reporting to the Chairperson, you will oversee a $25 million property portfolio, drive strategic growth, and champion operational excellence. This role involves high-level leadership, financial oversight, human resource management, and governance to ensure we continue to meet our goals and statutory obligations.
This role offers great work life balance on a family friendly roster working in the City of Greater Geraldton, a thriving regional city situated just over 400km north of Perth on the beautiful coral coast of WA.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, aligning with organisational goals.
- Manage operations, human resources, financial matters, and legal compliance.
- Strengthen governance by supporting the Board and implementing resolutions.
- Oversee housing management, including acquisitions, disposals, and tenant services.
- Represent the organisation in public relations and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities to sustain and grow services.

We are looking for a leader with a strong strategic vision, financial expertise, and the ability to foster growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership in managing complex organisations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Financial acumen, including budget management and funding compliance.
- Deep understanding of governance standards and statutory requirements for Aboriginal organisations.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and public relations.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively within an Aboriginal context.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, governance, or business management (desirable).
- Experience in housing management (preferred).
- Current National Police Clearance and a Class C driver’s license.
- Willingness to undergo a bankruptcy search prior to appointment.
