Top 500 reports

From 2016, ORIC responded to a need to provide information about corporations in a range of forms.

Individual corporation reports providing detailed information are available on the Register of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporations, using the find a corporation search on the home page.

ORIC also releases a limited dataset to the public, which includes each corporation's:

• registration status and status date
• location
• industries they operate in
• how many members they have
• how many directors and (to help determine gender balance) their title (Mr, Mrs, Ms etc)
• general financial information (income, assets and employees) for the last 3 years, which is used to determine their size.

Openly publishing data enables autonomous use for others to conduct research, with the goal of embarking on collaborative research and generating new insights into the sector.

Historical reports on the top 500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations can provide snapshot overviews of the sector during each respective financial year.
