On 7 August 2014 the Minister for Indigenous Affairs announced that from 1 July 2014, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations receiving grants of $500,000 or more in a single financial year from funding administered by the Indigenous Affairs portfolio within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) are required to incorporate under the CATSI Act.
