Former Kimberley CEO appears in court

The former chief executive officer (CEO) of Garnduwa Amboorny Wirnan Aboriginal Corporation, Alan Bishop, has appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on charges brought by the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, Anthony Beven.

Mr Bishop's appearance was on 29 July 2016.

The court adjourned the matter and ordered Mr Bishop to appear again before the Perth Magistrates Court on 26 August 2016. The court also ordered Mr Bishop to reside at his home address, not leave Western Australia and not approach within 100 metres of any point of international departure.

The matter is being prosecuted by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
