Freezing orders continued against former CEO of Aboriginal medical service in Kempsey

The Federal Court in Sydney has today by consent continued its freezing orders against the former CEO of the Durri Aboriginal Corporation Medical Service, Mr Gerald Hoskins, and his wife.

Justice Emmett continued the orders restraining Mr Hoskins and his wife from making payments from their personal bank accounts and from dealing with their residential property. The original orders were varied by Justice Emmett today to permit Mr and Ms Hoskins to dispose of assets with the agreement of the Registrar.

The Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, Anthony Beven, gave an undertaking to the court to give proper consideration to any request from Mr and Ms Hoskins to dispose of particular assets.

The matter has been listed before the Federal Court for further directions on 18 May 2012.

For more information refer to the Registrar’s media releases of 16 December 2011 (ORIC MR1112-16).
