Job description/overview

Qualifications & experience

Experience working in a leadership role in an Indigenous ranger program Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in cross-cultural environments Good organisational and communication skills Flexibility to adapt to emerging, unplanned issues Conservation and Land Management or Cultural Heritage or other relevant qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position 

Tasks & responsibilities

Continue the delivery of the Djurrubu Ranger Program with a view to securing Indigenous Rangers - Working on Country funding Coordinate and oversee the Djurrubu Indigenous Rangers, including development of work programs, schedules for training, field trips and various other activities and projects Lead, mentor and support the Djurrubu Indigenous Rangers, including identification of training needs and facilitating training opportunities mentoring, and team development Proactively manage, document, monitor and maintain GAC and Djurrubu Indigenous Rangers assets including infrastructure, plant and equipment In consultation with other GAC management, identify opportunities for funding, prepare funding proposals, and liaise with government and non-government agencies.
