The Board are seeking a motivated and pragmatic CEO to provide strong leadership and deliver outcomes for the people living on homelands. The CEO will positively represent BAC with key external stakeholders and create a positive workplace culture informed by BAC values.
As the CEO you will be accountable to the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience reporting to a Board and working at a senior level in a community based not for profit organisation. You will have proven your ability to coach, guide and inspire a multi-disciplinary senior management team to enable them to meet organisational objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need an ability to work within remote community protocols and deliver culturally appropriate services in a remote community context. You must have the ability to negotiate, influence and consult with a range of key stakeholders including remote aboriginal people with English as second language. Demonstrated cultural competency and experience working with Aboriginal cultural values are essential.
To ensure BAC’s ongoing financial stability, you will bring excellent financial and commercial acumen and be confident in managing competing financial and community expectations. Your experience in seeking and maintaining government grants and building alternative income streams will be crucial to your success this role.
